Back in December of 2023 we were honored to recognize two of our very own employees; Sam Lanning and Brenda Donker, as winners of the prestigious President’s Volunteer Service Award for their commitment to community service. However, our volunteers didn’t stop there.
On April 24th, we were so pleased to recognize not only Brenda and Sam for yet another Presidential Volunteer Service Award; but to also recognize employees, Sara Smith and Alyssa Goforth for their first Presidential Volunteer award alongside fellow MAC PAC’er Douglas (DJ) Lanning.

The President’s Volunteer Service Award recognizes individuals who go above and beyond in their service to the community. Through countless hours of selfless service, Alyssa, Brenda, Sara, Sam, and DJ have far exceeded these expectations. Whether their community service was on behalf of the credit union, or other organizations, these five have shown their heart for the community.
“They call Fairbanks the ‘Golden Heart City’ for a reason. The reason I am even eligible for this award is because we have the greatest community to serve.” Says award recipient and Marketing Coordinator for MAC FCU, Alyssa Goforth.

We are so very proud of our employees and their dedication to serving their community. Whether it be a MAC related event or their other avenues of service to our community, we support and encourage these individuals in their volunteer efforts.
