It’s official! Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, and Google Pay are now available with your MAC VISA debit and VISA credit card. These mobile wallet payments allow for an easy and convenient way to make your purchases, without having to use your physical card!
How Apple Pay Works
This is designed for Apple devices. It allows you to make in-store purchases with your phone or Apple watch at contactless payment terminals by employing near-field communication. You can also make purchases in apps, online and even send and receive money from family and friends.
How to Pay with Apply Pay
Making purchases is easy with Apple Pay. All you have to do is use your iPhone’s Face ID function and double-click the side button to confirm the transaction. You can also enter your phone passcode. Once you’ve done this, hold the top of your phone to the contactless reader. When transaction is complete, the display will say “done” and show a check mark.
You can do this with your Touch ID, as well. Place your finger on the Touch ID and follow the same process of holding your phone near the reader. To pay with your Apple Watch, double-click the side button and hold the display near the reader. Once it’s gone through, you’ll feel a tap on your watch.
How Samsung Pay Works
Samsung Pay is designed for Samsung device users. Not only does it use a near-field communication technology, it also uses magnetic secure transmission technology, which copies the magnetic strip of a credit card. So, it can be used on magnetic strip credit card readers when making a purchase.
How to Pay with Samsung Pay
For in-store purchases, open the Samsung Pay app on your phone, tap “pay” and choose the card you want to use. Then use your phone’s authentication.
Once the transaction is authenticated, hold the top of your phone to the contactless reader and follow prompts to complete the transaction. If you have your “favorite cards” set up, you can access Samsung Pay even faster by swiping up and authenticating the transaction using your fingerprint, phone PIN or iris.
How Google Pay Works
Google Pay is for users with an Android device. You can make peer-to-peer payments, in-store purchases, online and in-app purchases. Samsung phones run on Android technology, so you can use both Samsung Pay and Google Pay. You must choose one as a default payment method, though.
How to Pay with Google Pay
For in-store purchases, you don’t need to open the Google Pay app. Simply unlock your phone and hold the back of it near the contactless reader until you see a blue check mark on the screen. Then, follow any additional prompts. You must turn on the near-field communication payment function in your phone’s settings to be able to use it in stores.
For smartwatch payments, open the Google Pay app and hold your watch close to the contactless reader until you feel a buzz or hear a sound. If prompted, select “credit” to complete the transaction.
